Logline: 'Geek is chic' in this present-day homage to RPG board games and gamers where one roll of the die can change lives and loves forever.
If 20 something Paul learned anything in federal prison, it was how to escape. And so, through nightly role play gaming sessions with fellow inmates, that is exactly what he did. And when he returned home, he knew, in his heart, that be had to keep the tradition going.
Now Paul hosts a weekly Dungeons and Dragons-style game with old and new friends alike. Here, these Millennials can escape the daily routine of their lives as their minds take them each to some far away land on some treasure-laden quest. No MMORPG for these guys (and gal). They play the old-fashioned way!
lt's all about the dice and the math and the beer and the bonding. Its about odd food combinations and confused vampires and pan flutes and lyres and some farmer's daughter and ... what the hell is William's Syndrome? Its about nerd conventions and player versus player versus ... Vin Diesel? Its about being a nerd in love with a nerd and how the hell does that ever work out anyway? Its about imagination and the love that it can inspire between two waiting hearts in a dungeon crawl.
