A Summary
Logline: Marilyn Monroe returns to NYC decades after her faked death to reclaim what's left of her youth and image.
Decades after vanishing at the height of her fame, Marilyn Monroe slips back into New York City—older, sharper, and no longer interested in being anyone’s illusion. The world remembers her as a frozen icon, but Marilyn remembers the contracts, the compromises, and the life she staged her own death to escape.
Along with her exiled bestie Chichi, Marilyn confronts the machinery that turned her into a myth and sets out to reclaim what remains of herself—her work, her voice, and the version of her that never got to exist. But in a world that prefers her as a symbol, not a woman, stepping back into the light may prove to be more costly than she expected.
A haunting and comedic meditation on fame, identity, and ownership, where the most famous woman in the world must decide if she wants to be seen—or finally disappear for good.
