A Summary
Logline: Facing the imminent death of her ten year old son, Meredith’s faith is both rocked and hardened when her Christmas prayers inexplicably manifest themselves into the form of a Jack Russell Terrier who seemingly appears out of nowhere and eases his way into the heart of a splintered family.
As Meredith Day nears 40, she is literally witnessing the collapse of her beloved family. Ten year old Brian is now terminal with cancer. Meredith's estranged husband, Loyd, has turned from her to alcohol for the answer. And daughter Anna has received her first suspension from school at the tender age of 8. Though Christmas is but a few weeks away, Meredith is feeling anything but joyous. With her faith very near the brink of failing, Meredith turns one last time to prayer and in her most desperate hour, and in the most unexpected of ways, she is heard, and answered. Prayer is the story of a wife and a husband, a daughter and a son. It is the story of family, of hope, of hurt and loss. But most of all, it is about staring down both fear and faith and finally realizing they are, in fact, one and the same.
