A Girl Called Johnnie
A Summary
Logline:  30 something Michael is forced to overcome his inability in dealing with his lifelong crush and best friend/gal pal Johnnie who is a raging, anxiety-ridden, pill popping racist. His struggle is complicated by the sudden presence of a beautiful Persian woman who challenges his wanting heart.
Barely successful novelist Michael has loved Johnnie since he was a young teen. His want of her is deeply rooted as an adult. And yet, Johnnie is not a typical adult woman. Forced to quit her career as an executive, Johnnie returns home to take care of her mentally disabled father as Michael looks on, hoping for some glimpse of returned affection.

However, Johnnie lives a fast paced life, fueled by serious anxiety issues that haunt and frustrate Michael to no end. His good heart is put to the test time and again until he finally meets Amaya, a kindly distraction.

And so, Michael commits in a new direction only to find that Amaya is a very different sort of beast altogether, someone just as capable of plunging Michael's heart deeper into the abyss.

A Girl Called Johnnie is an adventurous, comical and dramatic love story that challenges the heart of a proper man begging for romance amid a dizzying dating culture that seems laser-focused on lesser choices. In the end, love finally finds its way but its already too late.
