Luke the Drifter
A Summary
Logline: His music spoke to the common man because an uncommon man spoke to his heart.
The world came to know Hank Williams Sr. as a legendary country artist, and an equally legendary drunk. Luke the Drifter explores his alter ego, a humble man of firm religious beliefs who felt the calling to minister through spoken word songs released under a pseudonym. Growing up without a father figure, young Hank met and befriended Neal “Pappy” McCormick who came to know the Drifting Cowboy as a child of God with a charitable heart.
