Activation
A Summary

Logline:  What if God had a sleeper cell?
In an attempt to save the world from imminent destruction, God activates his own weapon against terror and tyranny. The Angel of Mercy appears in the form of a federal prisoner and as a test of faith, requests his freedom to save mankind. Realizing, however, that it has hold of something that cannot be explained by its own terms, the US Government locks the angel down, denying, entirely, any act of faith and effectively nullifying God's will. Assigned to study the angel, Dr. Sandra Harper is, like any, at first skeptical but then comes to realize that preventing the Angel from his mission has put all mankind on a perilous path. As years pass, the Angel quietly accepts his condition of incarceration as insisted on by mankind and, by God's will, allows for the monstrous disaster of September 11, 2001 that begins an apocalyptic chain of events that puts all of mankind on its most catastrophic course. Though he is able to prove, time and again, that he is not some anomaly but a true Angel of God, he finds his captors unwilling to express any real sense of faith or remorse for their actions against him and the world at large. Saddened and resigned and yet always forgiving, the Angel can only look on as the government, in all of its unrelenting self-assuredness, blindly plows itself into the path of Armageddon. Can Dr. Harper convince the powers that be that the Angel is for real, that, without him, the end is imminent? Or will the constant ignorance of the government prevail one last time over hope and reason? Set in present day at a low security federal prison, Activation tells the story of God's word, of his want of peace and unconditional love for all of man, and for man's inexplicable struggle against it.
